It’s been a while.
My blogging has been lacking lately. I moved to a new host – didn’t enjoy paying the monthly fees so back here I am.
So I have had the eee PC for a few days now. Was it a good purchase? I believe so. It will be great to take with me while I travel. I really don’t need a full laptop on business trips. I mainly need to check my email and visit a few websites. It will also be great for any writing projects or note taking. I popped in a 8 gig high speed SD card in it today – that was an easy way to grab 8 more gigs of storage.
I am reading a book I have had for some time but never got around to reading. The book is Today Matters by John Maxwell. It’s been a good read thus far. I am looking to put in to practice some of the things it suggests. I’ll try to post a few blurbs and insights.
It is finally starting to look like fall outside. Just about all the leaves have fallen. The sky is gray most of the time. The nights are cool and the days are mild. The thing I dislike the most – it’s dark by time I get home.
We have been crazy busy lately. About one week ago we welcomed a new baby in to the world. I can say the second child is much easier than the first. For me at least.
Here is a picture of the re-done aquarium. It turned out OK. Not exactly how I wanted it – but a big improvement from before.
We have a 30 gallon aquarium. I decided today to re do everything in it. I have learned a lot since originally starting. I yanked everything out. Leaving only the heater and Fluval filter. The hardest part was draining the water and getting the gravel/rocks out. Once I got everything out – I gave it a good cleaning.
I started putting it all back together and it looked great. I went with a more simple plants and a center piece of driftwood. The fish are happily enjoying their new habitat.
A while back I was given a 30 gallon fish tank. Luckily all the fish are still alive that I put in it. The bad thing? It looks like it was stocked with decor straight out of Wal Mart. This weekend I am redoing the tank. Not brave enough to go with live plants. But I will be upgrading the look of the tank.
I’ll be sure to post before and after pictures.
