IMAP for the Masses

It has finally happened.

The guys at Google have embraced IMAP for GMail.

This will allow me to use GMail full time now.  Now if Google would add it to my account – I could get on with life.  I know I may catch some flack and get asked why not just use the GMail web client?  I have several reasons.  I need a client (I prefer Thunderbird but like Mulberry as well).  I like being able to easily backup my own account.  I like being able to read it on the web and have it show up that way on my client and vice versa.

Challenge Response

I just had to do a challenge response email.  I hate those things.  Then once I confirmed I was who I say I was (that didn’t make sense) they tried to sell me their services.  Bastards.
