While I still wait for my GMail account to get IMAP functionality. I wanted to let you know about IMAPSize. It is a tool I have used for quite some time to regularly back up my IMAP account over at Tuffmail. I assume it will work with GMail’s implementation of IMAP – not sure though. I will test it once I get IMAP on my account.

It has finally happened.
The guys at Google have embraced IMAP for GMail.
This will allow me to use GMail full time now. Now if Google would add it to my account – I could get on with life. I know I may catch some flack and get asked why not just use the GMail web client? I have several reasons. I need a client (I prefer Thunderbird but like Mulberry as well). I like being able to easily backup my own account. I like being able to read it on the web and have it show up that way on my client and vice versa.
